100% original and in excellent condition. A true closet classic. V030XXX serial number. 8lb 2 oz of SUPER resonant and very loud acoustically Stratocaster. Hot pickups sound fantastic. Medium neck that is not too thin , too fat, or too big. Frets are almost like new. Finish is still very shiny. All nitro. Plastic is still white. Case looks brand new. This guitar did not get out to play much. And it plays so well!
This was made back when each neck had the date written in pencil under the finish. Later in 1988 Fender went to the ink stamped dates. Pot codes date to 1987. This guitar was made the old fashioned way. I have another Stratocaster made on the same day as this one. It is also black over a custom color. What are the odds?
