8-11-86 USA Fender Vintage '57 Reissue Stratocaster in custom color!

SOLD

8-11-86 Early Corona California USA Fender Vintage '57 reissue in very hard to find black.  Real relic with lots of honest playing wear, tear, scratches, dings, dents, bumps, bruises, stains, and best of all FINISH CHECKING!  You know what that means!  NITRO baby!  Typical neck for the period is small and thin.  Plays like butter.  These are the best sounding pickups that Fender has ever made, very bell like and sound good clean or distorted.

V019XXX serial number makes this a very desirable guitar for many reasons.  It is over twenty years old and is nice and broken in.  A true player that will blow away the present Custom Shop models that play like a new guitar.  It takes time to play a guitar into playing like butter.   New medium jumbo frets makes bending notes effortless.  This is one solid guitar.  7lb 10oz.

The Custom colors are a great investment that keeps going up and up.  They are not making anymore 1986 Stratocasters!

Plays and sounds superb.  Classic Stratocaster chime and quack when used with a clean amp and nice and gutsy when overdriven.  Extremely good player.  Set up for 11-49 with four springs in the back.

Looks like a little beaver damage on the upper bout.

Big frets show no wear.  Super fret job.

8-11-86 Stratocaster innards

Insides look all original with the exception of the orange jumper wire so that the rear tone control operates with both middle and bridge pick up.  Nice touch.  The five way switch that came with this guitar is also installed.

These very early USA reissues are better than money in the bank  They have more than tripled in value in the past five years and show no signs of slowing down.  Play one and you will know why.  Why pay $3,000 for a new Relic that plays like an American Standard?  These old reissues are about as close to the real deal as there is!

$3,350 with black plastic hard case
