Guitar has been my entire life. I would never change a thing. It has worked out quite well. I was lucky enough to grow up playing the great music of our times. I began playing guitar in 1958 at age five. Elvis, then Ventures, then Beach Boys, then Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Allman Brothers Band, The Eagles, ZZ Top, Johnny Cash, Chet Atkins, Aerosmith, and many more have been huge influences. I got to meet many famous people, travel to many cool places, play in front of tens of thousands of people, and have a ton of fun doing it! It seems to get better and better. Now my main goal is to pass on as much of this knowledge as possible to as many people as possible. We need new guitar heroes. You might be the next Jimi Hendrix or Chet Atkins. I can help. Over the past forty plus years of playing guitar (thirty years professionally) I have played everything from bluegrass to blues, rock to country. All forms. I studied music at Indiana University and have been teaching ever since. I still work occasional gigs and do a lot of studio work. My teaching method has reached students in all fifty States, Canada, and all around the world. Thirty two different Jam Along, instructional cds, DVDs, VHS videos with new products coming out all the time. The success of my students makes me very happy.
