Custom made 1952 - 1953 Telecaster style guitar SOLD Arrived 4 June 2005. Every now and then you get to see a guitar that has so much more that the rest. Playability, sound, looks, and mojo out of this world. This is just such a guitar. NO expense was spared. ALL top of the line parts. A custom made in the USA from all Fender licensed parts. One piece lightweight premium swamp ash body, birds eye maple boat neck, all thin nitro finished, custom bees wax potted hand wound pickups, reverse wound neck pickup, trick four way switching. Tone monster. 7.6 pounds of twang. USA made Fender licensed parts. Premium birds eye Warmouth 1 " thick boat back neck is fat, but not too fat. SUPER comfortable to play with the gently rolled fretboard edges and rounded fret ends. It feels like it has been played for years. No fret wear at all. It has the vintage dot spacing at the 12th fret. The thin coat of clear nitrocellulose was aged with a patent pending process that ages the lacquer. There is no dye in the nitro and it is an exact color match to a real 1950s Telecaster. Medium size frets with extremely low action. The fret dress and leveling is absolutely first rate. Genuine bone nut is slotted for 11s. Light weight premium ash Warmouth lightweight Swamp Ash body with an aged honey blonde nitro finish. The handmade USA custom ordered hand wound pickups with a reverse wound neck pick up are very hot and responsive with a wide range of sounds available. This guitar has a four way switch that gives you bridge, neck, series, or parallel like a Humbucker. Overdrives very nicely! Pickups by TOM SHORTS' HANDMADE PICKUPS . The entire guitar was assembled and set up by the famous C.B. Hill. A top class luthier. This guitar plays MUCH better than any Custom Shop guitar we have ever seen. Unreal. You have to play it to believe it. A very amazing guitar to play. The sound is very authentic, spanky, hot, rich, and full. It plays and sounds so well we spent A LOT of time on the aging process. It looks very convincing. There are finish checks, crazing, nicks, dings, scratches, and even a .38 cal bullet hole in the back! MAN! If this guitar could tell some stories! HA!
