I see where our old friend and Doobie Brother Jeff "Skunk" Baxter is working for the Pentagon now as a top secret missile defense adviser!  Taking it to the streets.  Jesus is just alright by me.   Read about Skunk here: http://guitar.about.com/library/weekly/aa061801a.htm  As far as famous guitar players go,  Mr. Baxter is a national treasure.  Far out!

Check this out!   I saw this on the news yesterday and ran down the facts.  A guy bought this guitar 12 years ago for $50 and sold it on Ebay last week for $47,200!

Can you believe that?

I get calls every day from people that want to sell their guitar.  I only buy USA made and lately I found some deals too good to pass up.  Coincidently all are Fender Stratocaster reissues.  Two are custom hand built REPLICAS that have USA top of the line parts.  The rest are eighties USA reissues.   I get these guitars for my students that are ready to move up to a professional guitar.  Great deals for my students.  I can not find enough!

Here are the latest Stratocasters:

Custom made REPLICA of Hank Marvins Stratocaster.  http://www.answers.com/topic/hank-marvin   Most guitar players now days have no idea who Hank Marvin is but we owe him a lot.  He influenced many of the great guitar players today.  What we have here is a high end copy of Hanks favorite Stratocaster.  Rare maple cap neck and alder body are American custom made.  This guitar has some of the nicest fret work you will ever find.  Anodized aluminum pickguard looks great against the Fiesta Red custom color.  This guitar was built in the USA by an expert luthier in California who spared no expense in making an affordable high quality professional guitar.  Weighs a TON!
