Greetings! I hope this letter finds you all happy, and healthy.
Congrats go out to guitar student Matt B. he has his own all original rock band called the The Rick and Matt Show, he recently got to sit in with a real blues band on Beale St. in Memphis, he is first trumpet in his school band, and playing the lead role in Bishop Lynch High production of A Street Care Named Desire starting this week. Go see Matt! Go Matt go!
The big Dallas guitar show is this week end on April 21 thru 23 at Market Hall in Dallas. This is the biggest guitar show in the world that is also a music festival with live bands performing around the clock. Past Guitar Student Dave K. and his band Little B and The Fat Cats was on the big stage 3:50pm to 4:30pm on Friday 21 April. On Saturday my friend and long time amp guru Craig Wallace is playing the center stage at 12:25pm. Check out Craig's new cd at his website: DallasBluesGuitar.com. It is fun to submerse into the guitar culture for a day. A good chance to see VERY expensive guitars and run into famous guitar players. Bring your camera! Always a lot of fun! Not a great place to buy guitars but the best place to be for a guitar player for one or two days, and the best guitar event in Dallas all year. I saw a 1959 Strat selling for $130,000!
