STUDENT NEWSLETTER 23 April
2007
I hope this letter finds you all happy, and healthy.
Bass student Chris and his band are hosting
a jam in Richardson this Saturday. This jam coincides with the Dallas Guitar Show and will be
on Saturday April 21. 8:30 to 12:30pm. Speaking of the Dallas Guitar Show. This Friday, Saturday, and Sunday one of the biggest (was the biggest at one time, now the fall Arlington show is bigger) guitar show in the world. Always fun to immerse in the guitar culture for a day. WOW! I been screwed! I bought a guitar on Ebay that turned out to be a fake. I sent it right back and the seller refuses to send me my refund for made up reasons. The same reasons he used to screw five others on Ebay. I am trying to resolve this thru Pay Pal and will keep you posted on the results. Caveat emptor ya'll!
Out of the many guitars I have bought on eBay that was the worst deal ever. Thankfully not all guitar deals are bad. Just in on Monday from Saint Paul, Minnesota a very nice 1985 Gibson Les Paul Custom in super rare Ferrari Red with Gibson "crank tuners".
Just in from Denver, CO is a first year 1982 USA Fender Fullerton Precision Bass in very rare Candy Apple Red OVER two tone sunburst! A natural relic. VOO94XX! Cool as it gets!
The search for the perfect tone never ends. But after years of consideration, trial and error this is my rig more or less. It is not easy to find the original vintage stuff anymore, so this is the new equivalent. Every bit of my new gear comes from MusiciansFriend.com for the past seven years. Best prices, selection, and return policy there is. AND they bring it to your door! If you click thru to MUSICIANS FRIEND .com from this web site to buy something, I get an advertising credit and it does not cost you a penny extra! Musicians Friend is where I get all my new gear. Click on the bar below to go there. If the bar does not appear on your browser go here and click on the MusiciansFriend bar at bottom of that page.
Always Stay Tuned. A lot is going on around here!
