Hope this letter finds you all happy, healthy, and in tune. As of today Christmas is 26 days away. Then a week later New Years Eve. Eat, drink, and be merry responsibly. Time for the Christmas songs! Check out the Christmas Jam Along. Easy arrangements of the most popular songs. Cheers! Time to give the gift that will last a lifetime. The gift of music education. I can make up a custom gift certificate and mail it to your recipient for as many lessons as you would like. I can email you the certificate and you can print it yourself if you want. Easy. Great gift.
Or I can send my method on DVD, VHS, CD audio, or a JAM ALONG directly to you or your loved one. The best place to buy new guitar gear is MusiciansFriend.com or GuitarCenter.com. Both owned by the same folks. ELECTRIC GUITAR AMPLIFIER SUGGESTIONS ACCESSORIES Some great inexpensive gift ideas here. * Best Price

This is the time of year here in Texas when we switch from A/C to furnace heat. This is a radical change in humidity in your house. Bad for guitars. Especially high end acoustic guitars. New feature on this web site:
By popular demand; E MINOR PENTATONIC SCALE WITH EXTENSIONS. Student Austin L.'s youth band at church will be holding an outdoor concert on the grounds of First Presbyterian Church of Richardson (319 La Salle Drive) on 15 December at 4 p.m. Austin is the lead singer, lead guitarist, and even plays harmonica. They will be playing a few church songs, some rocking Christmas Carols, and a few contemporary songs to the neighbors in the area. A good time will be had by all. Student Tres W. went to Hollywood last week. Here is a pic of him in front of the famous guitar wall at the Guitar Center on Sunset Strip in Hollywood. ALL of these guitars are vintage. No reissues. Many over $50,000. EACH!
Just in last night from Miami Florida. A 1972 Gibson Les Paul Custom Black Beauty. The one with the Gibson logo on the pickup covers. I almost bought one of these back in 1977 in Louisville Kentucky at Jimmy Brown's Guitar Emporium on Bardstown Rd. It was like new but I could not afford it. It was $350. Now it is worth 20X that amount. A 1969 like this just sold on Ebay for $21,500. Here Thursday from Ohio is a 1988 USA Fender Vintage '62 reissue Stratocaster in custom color black. Great shape. Turns out it was made the same day as another of my Stratocasters that is also black. Here last Friday from Washington state. 100% original 1970 Gibson SG. 6 pounds 6.5 oz of super tone. Very thin neck plays like butter sounds like thunder. My favorite SG so far.
By popular demand. Joe's "Guitar Friendly Version" of Georgia On My Mind. The search for the perfect tone never ends. But after years of consideration, trial and error this is my rig more or less. It is not easy to find the original vintage stuff anymore, so this is the new equivalent. Every bit of my new gear comes from MusiciansFriend.com or Guitar Center for the past eight years. Best prices, selection, and return policy there is. AND they bring it to your door! If you click thru to MUSICIANS FRIEND .com or Guitar Center.com from this web site to buy something, I get an advertising credit and it does not cost you a penny extra! Musicians Friend and Guitar Center is where I get all my new gear. Click on the link below to go there. If the link does not appear on your browser go here and click on the MusiciansFriend or Guitar Center link at bottom of that page.
Always Stay Tuned. A lot is going on around here!
