SUMMERTIME!  School is out.  Good opportunity for more guitar time!

Lyrics for: Summertime Blues
By Eddie Cochran

Well I'm a- gonna raise a fuss, I'm a- gonna raise a holler
I've been a- workin' all summer just to try to earn a dollar
Tried to get the car go out on a date
The boss says "No dice son, you gotta work late"
Sometimes I wonder what I'm a- gonna do
But there ain't no cure for the summertime blues

Well, my mom and poppa told me "Son, you gotta earn some money
If you wanna use the car to go riding next Sunday"
Well I wouldn't go to work, I told the boss I was sick
He said "You can't use the car 'cause you didn't work a lick"
 Sometimes I wonder what I'm a-gonna do
But there ain't no cure for the summertime blues

Gonna take two weeks, gonna have a fine vacation
Gonna take my problem to the United Nations
Well I called my Congressman and he said quote
"I'd like to help you son, but you're too young to vote"
 Sometimes I wonder what I'm a-gonna do
But there ain't to cure for the summertime blues

A question I get is; 'who works on your guitars?'  Most adjustments I can do myself.  But when I need a real guitar tech I use Gary Smith at The Guitar Shop in Richardson on Belt Line Road almost at Plano Rd.  Next to Bruce Miller Nursery.  About 1.5 miles east from I75.  Call Gary at (214) 734-7772.  Gary is about the only one I trust here in Dallas to work on my guitars.  There are some real hacks out there!  BEWARE!

The search for the perfect tone never ends.  But after years of consideration, trial and error this is my rig more or less.  It is not easy to find the original vintage stuff anymore, so this is the new equivalent.

Every bit of my new gear comes from MusiciansFriend.com  for the past six years.  Best prices,  selection,  and return policy there is. AND they bring it to your door!   If you click thru to MUSICIANS FRIEND .com from this web site to buy something,  I get an advertising credit and it does not cost you a penny extra!  Musicians Friend is where I get all my new gear.  Click on the bar below to go there.  If the bar does not appear on your browser go here and click on the MusiciansFriend bar at bottom of that page.
