I hope this letter finds you all happy,  and healthy. 

January over already?   There are many more guitar players today than there was last month!  Students that just started are playing songs and having a blast already.  A great batch of new students this year.  Way to go Nate, Kendall, Hope,  Jenny, Tom,  Chris,  Jordan,  Stephen,  John,  Paul,  and Teresa.

Long time friend Mike Weatherly dropped by to see me last week and brought with him a promo picture of us back in 1981.  We were in a country show band that traveled with a tour bus and a full size white grand piano.  This group opened shows for headliners like Steve Wariner and Johnny Rodriguez. Twenty five years went by in a blink of an eye.  Here is the pic:

Mike Weatherly, Mel, Bobby, and me.  Mike currently plays drums with The Room Shakers here in the Dallas area.  Mike also occasionally plays drums with Roscoe and Company.  You may remember the story of what happened when I sat in with them last February.  CLICK HERE to see that story and photo.

I spoke with Mrs. Van Zandt last week.  She said they are going up on the price of their pick ups for the first time since 1987 soon.   Get them at today's prices while you can!!!  Still a twelve week wait.
