I am still in the studio mixing down the SOLO cd I have been working of for two years. Hope to have it ready by years end. There is a lot of work in recording an album. There are good takes and there are magical takes. Trying to capture a magical take without any mistakes ain't easy! It is the most fun I can think of! Super challenge!
Many guitar students eventually learn how to
play bass. Bass is the fastest way to get into a band. It is not a
sit around the house and play instrument. But it will get you a gig faster
than guitar. Out of 30 students per week 5 will be bass players. The
other 25 guitar students will have to fight over the 5 bass players. If
you look in the Musicians classifieds it is always BASS PLAYER NEEDED FOR
WORKING BAND IMMEDIATELY! They never ever wanted a lead guitar player.
Bass guitar is tuned like the four low strings on a 6 string guitar. E A D G. So it is the same notes in the same place one octave lower than a 6 string. Usually played just one note at a time it lays down the groove and is the tie between drums and guitar. Bass is a rhythm instrument that is more like a drum than a guitar. Good bass players are hard to find and in high demand.
