Greetings! I hope this letter finds you all happy, cool, and healthy. Do you have a tube amp that needs work? Give Craig Wallace a call at (214) 327-1004. He does work for George Thorogood, Eric Johnson, and yours truly. The only complaint I have about Craig is that he does not charge enough money for the great work he does. Craig is my tone guru. You can check out his new cd at: www.dallasbluesguitar.com Support local musicians. Buy a copy! Still recording. After listening to the rough final cut I decided it was too rough and not final at all. Recutting some of the songs with the 335 below. It sounds like a concert grand piano. Hard to beat PAF humbuckers. Most of you know that the Telecaster is may axe of choice, but for some jobs you need humbuckers. The project I am currently working on is guitar solos ala Chet Atkins meets Joe Perry. Going for something a little different. Also saving money on a drummer and bass player! HA! Looking for a nice pair? Just happen to have two Gibsons from 1984 that are in new mint unplayed condition. A custom shop Special Edition ES 335 and a J 45 Prototype. Both in rare tobacco sunburst with aged binding. Both are collector pieces. Matching cases with same color insides.
The search for the perfect tone never ends. But after years of consideration, trial and error this is my rig more or less. It is not easy to find the original vintage stuff anymore, so this is the new equivalent. Every bit of my new gear comes from MusiciansFriend.com for the past six years. Best prices, selection, and return policy there is. AND they bring it to your door! If you click thru to MUSICIANS FRIEND .com from this web site to buy something, I get an advertising credit and it does not cost you a penny extra! Musicians Friend is where I get all my new gear. Click on the bar below to go there. If the bar does not appear on your browser go here and click on the MusiciansFriend bar at bottom of that page.
Always Stay Tuned. A lot is going on around here!
