GLOSSARY OF MUSICAL TERMS.
How many of these terms did you hear from me? Ooops! Did I leave out
klangfarbenmelodie? I came across a very rare amp. The Marshall 4001Studio 15. Only 500 of these were made back in the mid 80s. All tube 15w with one 12" Celestion speaker. Gain, Bass, Middle, Treble, Master Volume. I have been looking for one of these for a long time. Found it in Maryland. Amp arrived on Thursday and sounds terrible. Good chance this 20 year old "all original" amp needs new tubes and caps. It is in like new condition. If it has been stored the insides most certainly need a tune up. I will let you know when I get it fixed what it sounds like. This amp weighs 44 pounds!
Also got in an extra Ibanez UE 300. Let me know if you are interested.
Rock and Roll Monster Machine #1 a 1989 Gibson Les Paul Custom with ebony fret board real relic. A ton of tone fun. Almost 10 pounds! Black beauty, fretless wonder, over twenty years of play wear shows this one was worth playing a lot. Finish checking, and gold worn off of tuning keys makes this look better than a Custom Shop Historic Murphy aged that would cost $5K+. Just in from Kentucky. Somebody said a guy named Saul Hudson plays one of these.
Just in from Austin is one cool player Stratocaster. Real relic old nitro finish has checked all over and looks cooler than January ice cubes! Brand new jumbo frets and bone nut! You know how we LOVE those. Fender Custom Shop pickups installed (original pickups included)! Tone monster with that cool looking vibe we like to see. 1989 USA Fender Vintage '62 Reissue in Olympic White Nitro REAL RELIC!
The search for the perfect tone never ends. But after years of consideration, trial and error this is my rig more or less. It is not easy to find the original vintage stuff anymore, so this is the new equivalent. Every bit of my new gear comes from MusiciansFriend.com for the past seven years. Best prices, selection, and return policy there is. AND they bring it to your door! If you click thru to MUSICIANS FRIEND .com from this web site to buy something, I get an advertising credit and it does not cost you a penny extra! Musicians Friend is where I get all my new gear. Click on the bar below to go there. If the bar does not appear on your browser go here and click on the MusiciansFriend bar at bottom of that page.
Always Stay Tuned. A lot is going on around here!
